Ok I have had enough and feel I have been forced to defend myself, my character, that of Kathie, Shonya and others. I am not posting this stuff in any malicious way, with any malscious intent, not with any intent to do anyone harm in any way personal, business or otherwise. I do however have to prove that I am not a liar and neither is Kathie. The recent postings on a certain blog have become way beyond reasonable. You can't post lies about people and accuse them of doing things they are NOT, (esp. when YOU are doing them) and not expect people to defend themselves.
Here is an excerpt I was sent from Jody's blog from today...
"I've been accused of hacking into someone's computer, giving Facebook a computer virus, hacking into Kelsey's Purpose, lying, road rage, making up aliases to stalk people, moderating Topix and deleting the haters' posts, impersonating Raye Dawn, having a Facebook page for Kelsey, and who knows what other lies they're telling. As I look at the list of allegations against me, I'm floored that someone would actually think that they could sue me and win. I guess they have forgotten that I have the truth on my side."
As you can see by the documents posted, WE are not the "liars". WE are not the ones "making up aliases to stalk people"!! The words in the documents from the author speak for themselves. I will not let you defame me or my character or that of others or lie about us without defending said lies.

And your point is? I don't see anything on here to justify what you are saying. I think it is common knowledge that Jody Ortiz used alias to protect herself. Maybe you should focus on what she felt she was protecting herself from? Maybe then we would all know why she feels so threatened by you all.
ReplyDeleteI would suggest that you take your passion and do something positive with it. Go out and do something beautiful today to honor this beautiful child. This is the tragedy of this case. Everyone has grief. To use it against each other only creates more grief. I can clearly see your passion for this case and I respect that. Just as I have my own passion about it. We all have that right to stand up for what we believe is right. But when we use it to hurt each other, it solves nothing.
I think Jody has had enough. I know I am close to reading all about this myself. I just wish there could be some peace or agreement to disagree,

First let me explain something, just because there happens to be a post of yours with "Mary's" does not mean or prove I "stalk" anyone. First of all I'm not the one who copied that from FB, it was Jody, remember? Second of all, let me ask you a question? Why is it ok for Jody to follow KP members and many others all over the internet to get " onto their walls and to keep track of the trash talk " as she alleges, but yet if anyone else does it, it is stalking? I'm afaid that her explaination of that will not hold up in court. See, she wasn't emailing about any "trash talk" or complaining as she does about how mean everyone is to her, there was no copies of any "trash talk" on her, that's not what she was copying...and she specifically states that, "I'm getting in with KP", she wants to know who Kathie has on her friends list, even Liana that hasn't said anything about Jody, and she uses this alias to trash Lance, calling him a "LOSER", she's using it to send people to websites and youtube videos to promote her hate towards Kathie,Lance, and KP and it's members. I guess my "POINT" is those things. It proves she did not create the Mary and Frank Thompson accounts to collect evidence on who's talking about her and if that were true why would she need to create more than one? So her "explaination" does not hold any water and her own words prove that is a lie. Now if under her alias she would have sent stuff pertaining to herself that was being said bad about her or whatever, it might have been slightly believeable. Another thing Wendy, if because a post of yours was in with the "Mary" one and I posted that, even though you were not the reason it was posted, does that mean that you have been "stalking" the people that you are quoting their posts and writings to on Jody's blog?? In your mind, according to what you said, it must. See, you can't have it both ways. If it is "stalking" for one that does it, it is "stalking" for all that do it.

I have stated plenty of times that I'm glad RD has supporters. It's not that people "support" her that is the problem. It's the LIES. The twisting of the facts and the truth. It's the personal "opinions" attached and mixed in, to lead the reader a certain way. Why not just state the facts and let the reader interpret the meaning? And also remember, I'm not the one that started a blog to start trashing people and accusing them of things that they have not done. If I say they have, I have the proof. What will you say to excuse her behavior when I post the proof of some aliases that she has used on Topix to promote hate towards others? She states she doesn't do that and I have proof she does.

But our attempts and efforts to do so have been done the same as other things..twisted and made into something they are not. We feel we in are in "no win" situation with this. All I am doing is defending myself and others against the hatred that is being put out there and spread all over the internet and beyond, and the lies being told and the false accusations. As I stated I have no problem with you and honestly? I don't care about your life, I have no need to know or worry about it and how boring or exciting it is. She was also trying to "spy" on KP members under false pretenses.
She was clearly "stalking" Kathie's FB friends.

Jody has a way of twisting things to her benefit. Some of us are smart enough not to fall for it.
Under another alias "Frank Thompson" Jody befriended Claudia Flores, a young woman she already knew, to see what her opinions on the case were because Claudia had Gayla and Kathie both as friends.
That had nothing to do with Jody!
Why is Jody so concerned who befriends Kathie?
It is because of her own hatred and contempt for her, IMO.
Jody stated on her blog she was being falsely accused of having aliases.

BTW - A while back Wendy posted a negative comment on one of my videos in honor of Kelsey and Lance.
I messaged her and asked her very nicely why she believed Raye did not enable Kelsey's abuse and she never responded back.
IMO Wendy is not open to other people's opinions, only Jody's.

Why would someone ask if she was the ghostwriter and the other questions when it is all on the front page of her blog? This is a setup. Once I came to my own conclusion, I chose to advocate for Raye Smith. It isn't that I am not open to your dialogue. I am just not interested in personal "opinions". I push them aside when I read any comments. I do express my own personal opinions also. We're all entitled to do that.
Truly, I completely understand why you advocate for Kelsey. So do I. We just see everything completely differently. Hard for me to understand but I must. You have built an allegiance with the Briggs family and it probably feels familial and safe for you. There is comfort in the support of like minded individuals.
I just can't wade through all the garbage out there. And believe you me - there is plenty of it. I am not sure why this case is surrounded in so much personal opinion but it just is.
My comment on your video Shonya was about Lance being basically heralded as a "father of the year". I chose not to respond because I felt it would be a back and forth banter not solving anything. He is simply not a father of the year type. You see my comments. My father wasn't a father of the year either. Doesn't mean I didn't love him. Kelsey loved her dad. He just shouldn't be heralded because he doesn't deserve that distinction. Now Marc Klas? He would be more in that category. Or maybe the host of America's Most Wanted. John Walsh. Or even the Pa Ingalls character on Little House on the Prairie years ago. Of course that is fiction and no one is perfect. Raye Smith is not perfect either. I really don't care about Lance but I do care if he sues for taxpayer funds when he wasn't actively raising that child. That is my money. And if he donates it in Kelsey's memory, well then I can accept that. Anything else would be wrong. Getting a payout doesn't improve the system. No one ever admits fault in this case. That must bug you guys too.
So I am open to only the facts.
I also am betting on you all using alias to find out what was going on for Kathie Briggs. So I am whitewashing that. I think you have all tried to find out what the REAL truth is. So I can't fault Jody there.
And anything you find on google is fair game. I don't like reading personal or private correspondence anyone has garnered unless it shows conduct that is suspicious (as in the emails between Mrs. Briggs/family and Mike Porter). That just seems wrong, is most likely illegal and certainly unethical.
I take things at face value. Now I have been warned by many not to have a dialogue with you all. I am told my words will be misquoted and misconstrued. I am simply trying to be clear as to where I stand. I do support Jody on her right to speak her truth. I support anyone who wishes to speak the truth. It is about the truth.
I am just not sure if anyone really knows WHAT that is anymore. So I say, go back to the court docs. Read the evidence of this case. Stay away from the media and the personal opinions of the families involved. And then advocate for your conclusion. That is your right.

I just refuse to let her and this crap take up a lot of my time. I post in between things I'm doing, and try to do that type of posting late when it's quiet and not much going on. I think this entire situation is negative and I just can't see myself banging my head on this wall over and over again. I guess you and Jody and all of you have been at this for years and while it might serve a purpose - the reengaging and all - it doesn't for me.

Thank you! Everyone should advocate for Kelsey. She is the ultimate victim. Raye's supporter's try to minimize what she suffered to benefit Raye. The Truth is the Truth and it should not be altered for ANYONE'S benefit.

I do not agree. Why am I not afforded the right to believe that Raye is guilty without being labeled a "Briggs Supporter", a "Porter Lover", or a "KP member"?
I would take two of those titles PROUDLY but that is besides the point.

Who has ever claimed or even insinuated Lance was "Father of the year?" Everyone makes mistakes. The only perfect person that ever lived died on a cross over 2,000 years ago.
The phrases so often stated by Raye's supporters about Lance is propaganda used to insult him. In reality no one is hoisting him up to be "Father of the year."
That video was memories of a father with his little girl. A little girl that he lost to murder while in the military having served our country. A murder that he had no connection in.
Lance loved his child and he provided for her.
Anyone who puts their life on the line to defend our country is doing a heroic thing.

Would you fault Jody for sending me my ip address in a message and telling me her friend could trace an ip to your front door?
Would you fault Jody for laughing at someone who was making fun of me because I am saving myself for marriage?
Would you fault Jody for plastering an old myspace picture of me on Raye's site?
Would you fault Jody for her lies, claiming I owned a video business company and was making money off of my youtube videos for Kelsey?
Would you fault Jody for falsely stating that I was another poster on Topix (A woman who was concerned about her and others ip's being traced if she/they visited Raye's sites) then making fun of this poster claiming it is just an excuse because, "Shonya just doesn't want anyone to see her picture.LoL!"?
There is a lot that went down BEFORE Jody and the Smith's started getting into the innocence orgs. and such to try and help garner more support for Raye. Jody stated that they could not get a 5013c by helping just one person (Raye), thus they decided to branch out.

ReplyDeleteLance and possibly Raye Dawn, will NOT be receiving any money straight out of the pockets of taxpaying Oklahomans. DHS and all other state agency's have INSURANCE for cases such as Kelsey's. The money they had to pay out for Kelsey's death may cause their insurance rates to increase but, it did NOT directly come out of DHS's pockets. DHS has been proven to have FAILED at their job and because of that an innocent child DIED. Unfortunately, Kelsey will not be the last child they have to pay for failing to protect. DHS is fighting a federal lawsuit right now that is only asking that they reform but they ARE spending YOUR tax dollars to defend that lawsuit when they could be using them to make the changes that the lawsuit asks for. Why are you not complaining about that?
ReplyDeleteLance deserves to be paid not just because he is Kelsey's father but, also because he has power of KELSEY'S ESTATE. Raye Dawn did not even testify as to why she should have this power when she was given the chance. She had not been charged with a crime at that time but, still did not fight for Kelsey's estate. In my opinion, Kelsey's money should NOT go to the woman who laughed at her when Kelsey said she was being hurt by her step-father. Raye Dawn Smith caused Kelsey's death either directly or indirectly. She could have and should have listened to Kelsey when she had the chance.
By the way, I was one of the people who found Jody posing as someone else on FB AFTER she had made it into my group of friends. I quickly figured it out and deleted her. Now, I can not even accept friend requests from people I do not know. I have been stalked and harassed by Jody and her followers. She asked her members to find out what my middle name was because she was trying to dig up trash on me. Too bad for her, she didn't find any!
