Still no Justice for Kelsey...not yet...

Ok, so I just watched the youtube video posted on another blog.  I tried really hard to find any "tears" when RD's face is all grimaced up, but alas found not a one.  Not surprising, remember the OSBI had to bring it up to her about them not seeing any tears the day of her interview and also the night at the hospital when Kelsey was brought in dead.  But then, she DID say maybe it was for the best...maybe that is why no tears.  The ONLY tears I have seen from her were for herself.

As for Mildred saying on camera that she thought Kelsey died from a seizure, and then the posting in the video saying that the maternal family still tho't Kelsey had died from a seizure at that point....there was absolutely NO reason for them to think that by that time.  RD had already been interviewed by the OSBI and her and Gayla BOTH (Porter too) were told that Kelsey did not die of a seizure, that the manner of death was homocide...either Raye Dawn or Mike Porter killed her...there were no other options.  So there was absolutely no reason for them to think otherwise, and if they did, that is on them.  When the OSBI tells you something, you listen.  They would have no reason to lie about manner of death.  The "conspiracy theory" was being planned from the get go by them it would seem.

Oh, almost forgot.  No one took a sucker from Kelsey to "stage" the photos.  So if it makes you feel better to think that, believe that, or get others to believe that, then go ahead.  No one cares because it is not true.  Kelsey's last thot's were not of disappointment in reference to her paternal family, but if it makes ya feel better about what her last thoughts of her mommy were while she was beating her to death (because I believe that RD killed kelsey), then by all means believe as you wish.  Nothing you can attach in your minds to the Briggs is going to change facts or the truth.

Again, yet another Smith family member crying because no one recognizes them as the "victims" in this case.  Please.  They don't like it they were not consulted in the plea agreement with Porter.  Smothermon did not have to get their "opinions" or permission.  THEIR family member was also charged in related to the murder of the ONLY victim which is Kelsey Briggs.  Lance was the only one who was consulted because he was the ONLY parent not involved in the death of Kelsey.  It is beyond me why the Smiths insist they are victims or why they insist they should have been consulted in the plea.  When they "got in his face" (Smothermon) when they found out by the media about the plea, he had nothing to say not because he "couldn't" but because he didn't have to.  In my opinion, it's always got to be about the Smiths....never about Kelsey.  I'd still like to know what the one who is now all these years later, publicly crying about not being seen as a "victim" in this case did to help and/or protect Kelsey??  There will never be an answer for that because there is nothing.
Why people want to be seen as or portray themselves a "victim" related to this case is insulting to Kelsey.  SHE is the only victim, not her sorry mother, not her mother's family who by their own admissions did nothing but "watch" as Kelsey was abused and eventually murdered....only Kelsey is the victim and that my friends is FACT.

And no, there is still no total justice for Kelsey as her mother has not been brought up on charges of murder...yet.  When that day arrives and she is convicted and sentenced to life, that is the day that there will be Justice for Kelsey.  Until then, we have to settle for the partial justice of Porter serving a 30 year sentence for what he did...enabling the abuse...and RD's minimal sentence of 27 years.  Partial justice is better than no justice at all.....

  1. There's always hope for a better future, Starla. I truly believe that one day, full justice will come for Kelsey. And I believe that her murderer will finally be punished.
