Wow!

The Child Abuse Prevention and Family Safety Day event  was a success and a good time for everyone!  Well, almost for everyone.


Seems Jody and Sheri showed up.  They were trying to hand out flyers promoting Jody's book.  I guess they didn't realize the event they were attending was for awareness and prevention of Child Abuse...or maybe the did but didn't care.  They approached the authors table where the "Who Killed Kelsey?" book was being sold, started asking a bunch of questions of Cherokee and Britten, and once again stating that the book contained lies, one Sheri brought up being that the book states that Porter was holding Kelsey when the EMT's arrived at the scene the day Kelsey died, and that was a lie.  One of the authors corrected her and told her that the book does NOT state that, that it states Porter had Kelsey and handed her over to Gayla.  Her reply was "oh."  The author then preceded to ask Sheri if she'd read the book and Sheri stated she had not, but people were calling her and telling her about it.   According to Jody's recent blog entry, she bought one, so now I'm sure Sheri will be able to read the truth for herself, and not have to depend on what she is "told" but once again, the REAL TRUTH.

Seems they went to this event to stir up trouble, and that is exactly what they got.  Jody approached a radio station that was broadcasting live at the event and told them that she was told by the Kelsey Foundation that she could do an interview....the person she told this to stated, "I don't think so!" 

While they were hovering around the authors of the book "Who Killed Kelsey?"  causing a disturbance, the City of Shawnee officials, called Security and Jody and Sheri were escorted OUT of the building by 4 uniformed police officers.  Officers in plain clothes were watching them already.  Private security had been secured for the event for Kathie's protection and her family.

There were uniformed officers standing in front of the bleachers where Kathie was sitting and private security officers sitting nearby.

The building was packed, probably 2-300 people in the building that witnessed this taking place, with approx. 40 people standing right there within hearing distance.

How embarrassing for them.  There were several organizations there on Preventing Child Abuse, this wasn't just a Kelsey event.  It wasn't anyone from Kelsey's Foundation, but the City of Shawnee officials that called for security and had the Shawnee Police involved.

Jody and Sheri were informed by the Shawnee police officers they were banned from the building.  So, they stood outside in the rain handing out flyers on the so called "book" Jody is writing.

While this is all very interesting, it also proves a very important point.  One that she will have a hard time defending in court.  She has went on and on for years about how "scared" she is of Kathie and "KP members".  How scared is she really?  She attends an event where she knows Kathie is,  and the very "KP" members that she is so scared of?? That she boldly without any justification OR proof, says has shot at her truck, broke into her home (although interestingly enough, nothing stolen? or damaged.) the same organization that she has promoted hate against all over the internet, even calling an abuse hotline making these same insane accusations... the very one's attending this event that she says has threatened her and is stalking her?...but she comes to where all these people who she claims have done such horrific things to her that she is so deathly afraid of that she had to "move" and acquired "guard dogs" and a "gun" to protect herself from....and she hands out flyers with her name and PICTURE on them?   AGAIN, I pose the question to you, How scared is she really?  This stunt proves she isn't as scared as she has claimed all these years and continues to claim.  What? Now because she passed out flyers with her name and picture on them, she will start claiming that other things are being done to her?  Not hardly. 

As for Sheri...why is she all of a sudden coming out and starting all this trouble?  Is she out for attention because of  her pals book?  WHERE was she before in all this?  4 years later, now she makes her presence known?  Where was she when Kelsey was deteriorating?  She worked at the very office Gayla did and saw Kelsey all the time those last months of her life.  Why didn't  she make her presence and concern known then and step out and speak up for Kelsey and do something to save her???  Not only pathetic but sad for Kelsey.

How do the two of them think they made themselves AND the Smiths look today??  Way to make Raye Dawn proud guys!   Way to stand up for awareness and preventing child abuse!!  Jody has begged for media attention on her blog for months to no avail.  So she not only tries to ride the skirt tail of little Kelsey and her story by trying to make a name for herself in writing a book but now tries to ride the skirt tails of the book on the true story of Kelsey's life and death to get media attention and promote her own book.  Do you really want to talk about and accuse of "exploiting Kelsey"??

Do they think their actions and public display today is going to sell that book? Garner any support and make people believe that SHE is the one being stalked and harrassed, when today PROVED the opposite?  I don't think so.  When her book flops as it will, she can look back on today and put the blame where it rightfully belongs...in her own lap.  And they really aren't helping Raye Dawn either.

It IS kind of sad to see her so desperate for attention...so desperate to make a name for herself and be important, her attempts always fail.  Someone should tell her she doesn't need all that to validate herself as a person.

So now because of the public display today and the continued stalking and harrassing concerning this case, the authors will have private security at all media events surrounding this book.  And there are many, many many coming.

One more thing and i'm done for today.  Sheri stated to the authors that her family is tired of seeing Kelsey's face on everything to do with child abuse.  I have to say Sheri, I might feel the same way if one of my family members abused and killed their own child.  It wouldn't feel very good I don't suppose to have that constant reminder of my family.  If it wasn't Kelsey's face as the poster child for abuse...it would be another child's.  As is very evident not only in the past, but especially today...YOU may not give a damn about awareness and preventing child abuse like Kelsey suffered and to help any way possible to stop it...but Kelsey does...and she IS.  And I know Kelsey would be proud to be the reason another child's life is spared...proud to be the reason children are getting extra hugs and kisses from their parents...proud to be the reason people are now reporting suspicions of children being abused...PROUD to be the face that makes people STOP before they hit their child...and PROUD to be the one to bring awareness and prevention of child abuse, not only in Oklahoma, not only in the US, but AROUND THE WORLD!  once again...it's about KELSEY...not you.
